Sundays
Thinking of joining us on Sunday? We’d love that!
Whether you’ve been to church many times, haven’t been in years, or have never been before, you’ll be so welcome at Knock. We know visiting somewhere new can feel a bit daunting, so here are some answers to common questions that people often ask before they join us.
We can’t wait to welcome you!
What time and where do you gather?
We gather on Sundays at 11am in Stormont Presbyterian Church and 6:30pm in the church building at 53 Kings Road, Belfast. Most people arrive a few minutes early to say hello and find a seat. If you need to come in quietly a few minutes late, that’s perfectly fine too. We are meeting at Stormont during this phase of our building contract.
What happens during the service?
A typical service lasts around seventy-five minutes. We sing together, pray, read the Bible, and hear a Bible talk that helps us know, enjoy, and follow Jesus.
Will I have to say or do anything?
No. You can take part as much or as little as you like. You won’t be asked to do anything that makes you stand out.
What about children?
Children are a much-loved part of our church family. At 11am in Stormont Presbyterian Church, we have groups for babies, toddlers, children, and young people. You’ll be guided on where to take your children during the service. If you’d prefer to keep your children with you, that’s also completely fine.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever is comfortable. Some people dress smartly, others casually. No one’s taking notes. Come as yourself.
What’s the music like?
We sing a mix of contemporary worship songs and classic hymns — all chosen to help us focus on who God is and what He has done for us in Jesus. You’re welcome to join in with the singing or simply listen.
Who’s welcome at Knock?
Everyone! Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after a long time, or looking for a new church family — you are welcome here. We are an all-age congregation from many different backgrounds.
Do I need to believe in Jesus to come along?
No. Many people who come are still exploring faith, asking questions, or simply curious. You’re welcome to take things at your own pace.
I still feel a bit unsure… is it okay just to come and watch?
Yes, absolutely! Come with your questions, your doubts, your curiosity, or simply your need for a place to breathe. You don’t need to have everything sorted out. None of us do. You’ll be very welcome.
