Each evening is relaxed and informal. We’ll have something to eat together, watch a short talk exploring an aspect of the Christian faith, and then have time for conversation. You can ask anything, say what you think, or simply listen. There’s no pressure and no question is off limits. Meet new people. Watch a talk. See what you think.

Food — we start by eating together. It’s a chance to relax, meet some people and get to know each other. A talk — each week we watch a talk designed to get you thinking about some of the big questions of life and faith. Conversation — after the talk, there’s an opportunity to chat about what you’ve heard.
This isn’t a class and nobody is going to put you on the spot. You’re free to share as much or as little as you like. Different opinions are welcome, and you can ask whatever questions you have.

Alpha is for anyone. You might have never been to church. You might have grown up around Christianity but drifted away. You might be wondering whether there is more to life. You might have questions about God that you’ve never had the chance to ask. Or perhaps you’re simply curious. Whatever your background and whatever you believe, you’d be very welcome.

Our first Alpha at Knock begins on Wednesday 16 September, 6.45–8.30pm at Knock Church, 53 Kings Road, Belfast
Alpha runs over a series of Wednesday evenings. We’d love you to come along to the first night, meet some people and see what you think. Coming to the first evening doesn’t commit you to the whole course.

Absolutely. In fact, lots of people find it easier to come with someone they already know. Come with a friend, your partner, a family member or even a few friends together.

Nothing. Alpha is completely free. There’s no charge for the course or the food.

Not at all. Alpha is designed especially for people who are exploring. You won’t be expected to know the Bible, pray out loud or already believe what Christians believe. Just bring yourself... and your questions.
